If you’ve been painting a while bring along your usual kit. But do have a look over this list as you will find it helpful to either have what’s on this list or something very similar, as we will work from this basic kit.
If you are in Ireland, I recommend K&MEvans art supplies in Jervis street. You can buy online and they deliver www.kmevans.com. I find them the best value and they have everything on the list. Ask for Nicola as I have negotiated a discount for you and he has the list too.
Art Supplies List
An easel of some kind
Tabletop is best for classes and the kind that also has a box for supplies can be useful. Here are some examples if you don’t already have something.
If you are travelling by public transport let me know in advance and I can supply one for you.

You only really need one.
Painting knifes 1011 and 1018 on evans website are good.
large plastic or wooden. A tear off wax paper one is useful but even a large plate would do.
I recommended these for the workshop.

Please do not bring any Turps or white spirit.
I love Zest it which you can buy in different sizes but Winsor & Newton Sansodor will do. Both can be bought from Evans. Get the smaller bottle $7.60.
Canvas boards or panels
small sizes eg. 8×6, 8×8, 10×10, 10×12 inches
I will also have some small canvases available.
Kitchen paper towels, Baby wipes or Rags
Ring bound or other sketchpad for sketching
Soft sketching pencils
Notepad and pen
