This interview was quite moving for me. Not so much in the doing of it but after, when I got a chance to listen back.

We were very relaxed and much of it is very personal. We talked about

  • sustaining ones creativity when it’s also your job,
  • who I want to be when I grow up
  • and everything in-between.

So if you’re at all interested in how I ended up where I’m at and how I see the world from my little corner of it, then go grab a cuppa or listen when you’re in the car next.

And if anything we talked about got you thinking.. as always, I’m all ears.

Strut and Bellow

Melanie Clarke Pullen, is creator of the podcast ‘Strut and bellow‘ which is a quote taken from Hamlet. Melanie is an actress and writer and describes herself as “a maker of stuff… I make theatre, film, stories, crocheted candle holders, soft toys and small humans.”
She is inspired by women who are also makers and creators. What drives their creativity? How they navigate the demands of life outside of their art and where they draw their own inspiration and strength from. Often women’s creativity happens quietly and in obscurity. In these podcasts she speaks to six well known women creatives to discover how and why they strut and bellow.
