Don’t be fooled by the seductive power of gold boots and a cape

Last week the bin men nearly killed me

I was awake but pre-tea/coffee when I heard the beeping.  The quick 10 sec calculation.. time for dressing gown, maybe.. fullness of bin? up to the brim… Decision made.. go for it.

‘How hard can it be’ I hear you say. Race downstairs, unlock the door, turn off alarm, race around house, pull overloaded bin to kerb and race back inside without (this is key) the bin men or the neighbours (god forbid) seeing me.

Gold boots and a cape

All I needed was a cape and gold boots to complete the sense of cheating death and being victorious.

Accept.. I forgot about the metal planter that I had put out to catch the rain. We collided at speed. It didn’t move, or make a noise (unlike me, sorry neighbours) however, it did break my big toe.

Did I get back indoors before the bin men (or the neighbours) saw me? .. Damned right I did.

Minus cape, minus sense of humour, minus dignity.. but I got there.

Silver lining

Silver lining.. This week I’ve the bin men and an injured toe to thank for getting a bunch of work done.. albeit sitting down.

In particular, today I launch not one but three new prints to my selection of Limited Edition Prints.

I have added a new interiors image and due to the level of interest in the Teacup and Chair series I have also added a teacup and chair print.

Hope you like to the new editions, I’m really happy with them and I feel that there’s a much better representation of my work across the prints now.

And hey, dignity’s overrated right?

Have a good week
