Summer’s here and I hope wherever you are, you’re getting at least a little sunshine and some time to enjoy it. I’ve been up and down the country a couple of times since my last newsletter.
There was this..
But before that…
I took a trip down to Killarney to launch the exhibition there. The show will run all summer and as paintings sell, they will be replaced with other artists work so it will (hopefully) get smaller as the weeks go by. Thankfully it’s already diminished quite a bit so if you are interested in checking it out, get your skids on and pop in soon or, of course, you can check it out online.
Thank you to all those who stopped by to say Hi or to give one of my paintings a new home. It’s always a treat for me to meet up with people and have a chance to chat.
Pictured below The lovely O’Connor Family – with permission.
And thank you to the Irish Examiner for this fab mention. So great and I know it’s influential because two lovely customers bought prints after seeing the piece and a couple went to the show on the back of seeing the paper. I think it’s so lovely to have Irish media support Irish Art like this. Well done and thank you Irish Examiner.
Girls only road trip
My Mum, my two girls and Maggie (the dog) also decided that a girls only road trip to Kinsale was in order.
My Mum’s family come from Kinsale and while there we visited some family landmarks. Two shops in the town where my great-grandmother and grand uncle once worked and held court (the are stories there!) and we swam off the rocks of the house were my great grandparents lived.
Maggie contented herself to lifeguard duty (I don’t blame her, the water was bitter)
Maggie and I also found time to visit at The Gallery Kinsale, a little gem of a gallery and my representative in Cork.
