It’s been busy here since Christmas. Apart from getting back to painting, I took a notion and whisked my two girls off on a quick trip to the eternal city, Roma! I love Rome, all that grandeur and dilapidation!
My daughter took this photo, now I just need the album cover to put it on!
Then it was back home to a packed three day painting workshop here in Dublin at the stunning Airfield Estate.
I seem to be blessed with the groups that come to my workshops. We had lots of laughs and stories and even when I had them exhausted they pulled out all the stops and worked incredibly hard.
If you are interested in one of my painting workshops, sign up (very bottom of this page) to my workshop newsletter and I’ll keep you in the loop about the next one.
I asked them for some feedback and here’s what some of them had to say…
“Lovely venue. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. A brilliant teacher! I’ll never paint in the same way again” Hillary
“She packed a weeks work into 3 fantastic days… I’m now fired up for progress.” Marguerita
“Very clear & easy to listen to. She knows her subject inside out & her passion for painting is contagious.” Sharon
“Very best 3 days of inspirational teaching I’ve experienced. She has the vocation to teach.” Ann
“Inspiring! Easy to follow, honest, bubbly personality! Put everyone at ease. A gem!” Louise
‘Summer’s end on Spring Street’
60x40cm Oil on canvas
While in the States last September I visited a beautiful old house and I have finally got around to working on some new paintings from that visit. This painting, which was from that house, was one of the demos that I painted during my painting workshop last weekend.
