Sometimes I will de-saturate an image of a painting I’m working on, so as to check the values and contrast are working well. It should work as well as a black and white tonal painting as it does in colour. It’s an interesting little exercise.

Nail the three essential elements to being an Artist.
Find inspiration in a time pressured world.
Overcome mental and practical barriers to creative work.
Strike balance between creative work and the business of making a living.
Avoid overwhelm and what to do when blocked.
