90x70cm Oil on Canvas
An interior from a beautiful home in Dublin. This painting is available from The Doorway Gallery.
We have a vistor in our house this week. She is an Irish Guide Dog puppy and she is on holiday with us while her puppy walker family are away on holiday. It’s our first time to be a holiday relief family and it’s been a lot of fun. Being a puppy walker involves a lot of commitment to socialising and training a specially bred pup from 12 weeks to just over one year. The pup then goes into a intensive training programme in Cork to become a Guide Dog to the blind.
This pup is actually one year old now and she’s generally very well behaved so it’s easy to forget that she’s still a pup.
I did a good clear up of the garden before she came but this is what she found (and chewed) just today so far :-) It’s like having a toddler around!
But really, she’s a good girl!
The Irish Guide Dog Association are currently looking for puppy walkers so if you think you can help or support those that do then check out the Irish Guide Dog Association.
And of course Maggie loves the company.
