sundays in wintry colours
I’ve been playing with this palette in a few paintings. A very pale blue green background with pops of the red and white cushions.

happy at it
The Newcastle/Gateshead fair finished yesterday. 12 paintings sold and they have a couple of commissions. My solo show at the doorway ends in three days, so far 9 have sold, 3 are reserved and they have a few commissions too and finally the Killarney Art gallery have sold 6 of the 10 paintings in their summer show with 1 commission.
So all in all it’s been a fantastic summer. Still to come are…
- The Affordable Art Fair in Hampstead London 27th – 30th October
- The Art Fair , RDS, 4th – 6th of November
- The Edinburgh Art Fair, 18th – 20th November
- Christmas shows at the Doorway and Killarney art galleries
The final deadline is in site for the year! The final push has me painting 6-7 days a week for the next three weeks then it will slow down to a more humanly possible figure again! I have planned next year’s work load so it will be more measured and less manic. In the meantime I’m doing what I can to take the pressure off in other ways and getting support wherever I can get it. All in all though I’m really happy. Who’d a thought a few years ago that I’d be making a living as a full time artist and happy at it. Happy days!
