I’m all shook up
The chair in the middle has an Elvis fetish. He likes to shake those hips when no ones looking. His companions are beginning to fear that he might not grow out of it after all. The wall colour behind is Geranium Lake

we were meant to be together
I saw a colour on a wall of an old house in a magazine and fell head over heels in love right there on the spot. I couldn’t even finish my tea but had to set about making it and I reckoned it to be a mix of cad red, alizarin crimson and some cad yellow deep.
Then I ran out of cad red. Disaster! I waited for the delivery man to arrive (due, as it happened that morning) but when he did, the tube of cad red was not there and in it’s place was a tube of a colour called Geranium Lake. Now it looked pretty uninspiring from the sticker on the tube. Lets say I would not have been drawn to it across a crowded room. But when I opened it….. OMG, Shut up, sit down… It was pretty much the colour I had just fallen in love with!
We were meant to be together.[singlepic id=1212 w=400 h=300 float=] This is a geranium lake acrylic sample from blick. It’s the closest sample I could find for you.
We’ve been holed up together here for days, only stopping to go buy more Geranium Lake and throw the occasional pizza at the kids.
Of course I know it won’t last, I’m not that green, but we’re enjoying the affair while it lasts.
By the way the color is not photographing well (see I’m making excuses for it – it’s that bad!) so you’ll just has to trust me as to it’s amazingness!
