interiors large Painting

window to the soul & take a smile

So this is my favoritest painting at the moment, certainly of the recent batch that’s heading to Bristol. It’s the third or forth painting from my friend Delyth’s home. I know lots of artists who have trouble letting their paintings go. They seen to become like babies or at least like a part of themselves. I’ve never really felt like that. But I could live with this one around the house!

I’m playing catch up this week and also taking things a bit easy. I’m only going to paint two paintings and the first is almost done, happy days!

It’s a commission for a really lovely person that I almost met while in London the last time. She is an opera singer (how wonderful) and commissioned a large piece as a legacy/memory of her late grandmother. Isn’t that lovely?

  • Just when things slow down, they don’t…

I really like your favorite too. It’s so inviting. I just want to go sit there in the sunshine and write. Perhaps to you…

  • Hi Roisin,

Love this and all the others. I am always glad to see a painting find a home. That’s part of why I paint, so I understand. But like you, I also enjoy seeing my work around me.

    Great painting and great thoughts.
