vico road

After the craziness of the weekend and by way of taking it easy while my head recovered, I decided to return to a view that I’ve known since childhood and that I’ve painted before. Those of you from around here will (I hope) immediately recognise Sorrento Terrace on the Vico Road in Dalkey.

So here’s the boy! Iain Archer playing in our kitchen surrounded by friends lapping up the music. It just doesn’t get any better that this.

And here’s he is performing “Everest” from the To The Pine Roots album.

If you were there, there are more photos on Facebook and if your kicking yourself you missed him, there’s still some room in the gig tonight at The Doorway Gallery 8pm €17 inc. wine.

  • Love the painting, and watched the kitchen gig in the kitchen tonight while I made dinner. What a good idea that is. I kept looking at my kitchen wondering what type of musician could fit in it. Well we have had singing but without the amps. Your work is an inspiration, and this was a special treat.
