expecting delyth

A totally new painting today! This one is a scene from the home of an old friend. She and her husband used to live in a beautiful old house with three floors and rooms that went on forever. More recently they decided to downsize, which is a bit of a family joke as the house they moved to is this double fronted Georgian home with a garden that wraps around the property. The story goes that Delyth has been in love with the house for decades and it seems right that she and her husband should live it in now. Granted, it does feels like a perfect fit and I think you may be seeing more than one painting from Delyth’s home.

Sorry about the premature posting yesterday. The post was only half written and somehow I sent it off or the wordpress gremlins did it, who knows?

I have the head down at the moment and am working hard to meet my deadline of 14 paintings for the Tallantyre. I have 8 done and have 6 more to do… in 6 days! That’s a lot so I’m really just taking each day as it goes and if I don’t reach that number, well I don’t.

In the meantime….

  • Painting down to obsession! It works for a few days, but burn out can suddenly happen. When it does my mind goes blank and I can stand if front of my easel, but it’s useless. Hope you can keep the pace until your 6 are completed! Good luck and congrats on all these shows. You go girl!
