threadbare elegance

There’s something very down at heal about this scene. I imagine a family with a grand past still living in a small country manor but with some upstairs rooms closed off.  Cultured folk who drive an old car, eat cheap and make & do but who always have fresh roses from the garden on the hall table!

new gallery representation

As of today Whalley Art Gallery will be representing my work. The gallery is owned by a young and vibrant couple, Stephen Whalley and Dawn Crothers, both artists themselves. They currently represent such salubrious artists as Graham Knuttel, Trevor Brown, Christine Bowen, Paul Kelly and John Lawrence.  I’m really looking forward to working with them & if you’re up in the wee north, pop in and say hi.

You can see more on the paintings available at the Whalley Art Gallery here.
