new gallery representation

Good news from the west! Kenny’s Art Gallery in Lahinch will be representing my work. They have four paintings available from today. Kenny’s are a bit of an institution here in Lahinch, with Kenny’s pub, woolen mills and gallery all on the main street.

Otherwise the weather is the main item of discussion. So far it has rained at night and been warm and overcast during the day. Perfect for wetsuits and waves.

I’ve come across an artist here in Lahinch called Phillip Morrison. He paints from his shop/studio on the main street and has a vibrant, quirkystyle that is very influenced by his previous carreer as an illustrator. His prints are great value and some purchasing may have to be done!

stolen moment

From a series of paintings of an area around the Dargle river in Powerscourt. The kids and I had gone river bed walking and this scene is from the far side of the river. A palce that people (other than the farmer or land owner)  would never ordinarily get to see.

  • The light peeking through the branches is beautifully rendered. Nice painting!

Congratulations on your new gallery! Well done!!

I was unable to pull up Phillip’s link. You may want to check it as I think there may be two https in it.

    • Thanks Susan and Kelley, It’s all great. Paintings selling well down in Killarney too. Really is all coming together. Hope yo’re both well and enjoying the summer.

  • Congratulations Roisin. All your hard work is being rewarded.
Your style is evolving, I like the feel of the loose brush strokes. I picture you painting at break neck speed!
