My first show!

My first show has been confirmed with Killarney Art Gallery and its sister gallery Valencia Art Gallery on Valencia Island. The show will run for one week on Valencia from June 20th and then moves to the mainland for one week in Killarney from June 27th to July 3rd.

The paintings will be 16″x16″ square and 20″x”20″ and will not be available for view until the show opens. And no sneaky peaks on the blog either I’m afraid! I will have more details on the show nearer the time.

“The Killarney Art Gallery was established in 1990 by Declan Mulvany . His family have been in the art business in Ireland since 1885. The gallery represents many of the country’s leading contemporary artists along with selling works by deceased Irish artists such as Jack B Yeats RHA, James Humbert Craig RHA, Maurice Wilks ARHA RUA etc.” Irishart.com

The reason that you have been seeing less than the usual 5 posts a week is that I am busy preparing for the show but I will continue to post about three times a week. The gallery website is temporarily unavailable but should be back on line in the next few days. You can also find them on facebook or check out their blog.

  • Yeah, first show congratulations. How exciting. I like the look of the gallery. How many pieces do you need?
Love the marmalade painting. I like the thick strokes of paint. Are you using a palette knife? My husband really likes your work which is a surprise, usually he likes a painting to look like a photograph.
I hope to post on my blog soon, arrived home Saturday. I see you are a follower, thankyou.

  • Hi Linda and Pat,
Yes very exciting. I’m working like a demon to prepare. I need about 20 large pieces in order to show a final 15.
Glad to see that air travel is unaffected where you are Pat. The global village is seeming very big from where we are. Everything still grounded since last week. It’s incredible.

    Best wishes

    Róisín

  • Congratulations again. Its so exciting when new opportunities open to us. I wish you much success and of course sales!

It will be hard to wait until then so see what you’re up to. I think it will also be difficult for you as well… I suspect that you also look forward to the supportive comments that help drive us in a positive way. Just remember we are all routing for your success!
