if the shoe fits & so you think you can tie your shoelaces correctly

if the shoe fits

if-the-shoe-fits

My girls are away off to see Granny for a few days and to get some of their “norn iron” heritage! Next week my eldest is off to Cork for a week with a pal and the youngest is doing a sports camp. I’m hoping that I can catch up these next 10 days and then hopefully take it a little easier over the rest of the summer when they are around more. That’s the plan anyway, we’ll see how it goes.

so you think you can tie your shoelaces correctly

Speaking of shoes or more particularly shoelaces, here’s a question for you. Can you tie your shoelaces correctly? Far be it for me to suggest that maybe you can’t, but here’s a man who will. And you know what? He’s probably right!

bolt form the blue & my new hero

bolt-from-the-blue

bolt from the blue

The second of the two blue chair paintings that I painted a week or so ago. This one shows a little more of the room in the background. I’ve been revisiting some paintings from a year or so back and doing smaller or larger versions of some of the ones I particularly liked. I’m mostly not blogging them though, cause I don’t want to bore you, but from time to time I’ll slip one in the mix.

my new hero

Talk about bolt from the blue. I watched a new American show last night called The Big C.

The freshest and best drama series to have travelled across the Atlantic in recent years, tackling the most difficult of subjects.. Terminal Cancer.

Actually it not really so much about cancer as a meek suburban woman waking up to her life and taking it by the balls.

You’ll need to park your PC hat to get this show but if you can (my sense of humor can stray to the wicked side so I have no problems there) it rewards greatly.

It’s been a long time since I’ve watched something that can make me laugh out loud hours later, in bed, with the lights out!

Check out the trailer here

I’ve only seen the pilot and episode one but I’m hooked.
