A three day painting workshop on Valencia Island

I’ve been asked to give a three day painting workshop on Valencia Island, in the heart of Kerry, this Summer and I’m looking for a little feedback. What do you think? Any thoughts, ideas and questions would be very welcome. Is it something that you might consider?

The course fee would include accommodation and the 3 day workshop which would be pitched at beginners/improvers. It would include demonstrations, exercises and practical sessions and would be relaxed and, I hope, a bit of craic (fun).

The Island is stunningly beautiful and there would be time to enjoy that too.

Do you fancy tickets to the Affordable Art Fair in London?

So, I have ended up with a couple of tickets to spare for the Charity VIP night at the London Affordable Art Fair. In fact the tickets will cover the whole weekend and are valued at £50 for the pair.

Delicate hope

I’m flying this morning. Busier than should be possible for one person. That said,  these blossoms caught my eye from up the road in Killruddery. Beautifully delicate and full of hope!

And they reminded me of one of my favourite Van Gogh paintings of almond blossom.

Yesterday the sun was shining, the doors open and the crocus were up. This morning when I went for a quick run down by the beach it was like November again. Where did spring go? Was that it?

Still, no matter how bleak…
