A little painting I did a week or two ago of one of my helebore blossoms from the garden. The variety is Christmas Rose.

Good morning! It seems like spring is here. Despite the hard frosts in the morning the sun is out and I’m getting all spring like on the florals! Not really like me but I’m enjoying the new focus. Actually the only thing in my garden at the moment are snowdrops, crocus and hellebores. So hellebores it is!
I’d better go dry my hair as I didn’t bother last time and to say the result was a bad hair day is to underestimate the scale of it. Truly shocking!
but before I do, can I just say…
I very rarely paint flowers so this is a real step out of my comfort zone.

It’s lashing rain here today. It’s dark, there’s a flood warning for the next little town down the road and it seems like summer is very far away.
